Choose Hostaway if / Choose Cabinly if
Choose Cabinly if
- You are the owner, the cleaner and the person answering messages at eleven at night.
- You want a direct channel that costs 0%, not a bigger control panel.
- You want the empty nights named and something to do about them.
Choose Hostaway if
- You manage properties for other people and owe them statements.
- Your workload is messages and turnovers across many listings, not empty midweek nights.
- You have someone whose job it is to run the software.
Questions people actually ask
- Is Cabinly enough on its own?
- For one to three cabins taking direct bookings, yes: the page, the calendar with per-date prices and rules, guest questions answered on the page, payments through your own Stripe account and two-way iCal with the marketplaces. For managing other people's properties as a business, no.
- Can I move from Hostaway to Cabinly?
- There is no migration tool. In practice you paste a listing link, the page is built from it, you connect Stripe and import your calendars over iCal. What does not come across is anything a PMS holds and Cabinly does not have: reporting history, owner statements, saved message templates.
- What if I grow past three cabins?
- Cabinly is built and priced for one to three. Beyond that the honest answer is that a PMS starts earning its subscription, and this page names two.
- Is there a contract or a minimum term?
- No. Everything is free while the alpha runs, the commission is 0% forever, and there is nothing to cancel – no term, no card at sign-up. The flip side is stated where it should be: alpha means no SLA, no status page and no uptime guarantee, all of it declared in agent.json.
